My family and I are really struggling. My husband was layed off in September of 2006. He finally found another job finally in June of 2007 again layed off in July. He is a carpenter and can't find work. I was working for a few months and way layed off as well. We are currently both actively looking for employment. The job market is harder then you would think. We have two small children ages 1 and 2. We own a home but are near forclosure. I have tried every goverment agency I know for help. The goverment doesn't help you pay your mortgage. We really don't want to lose our home. We have worked hard for many years to buy our house and keep it. Luckily my kids are fed through public aid or I don't know what we would do. I have never had to struggle like this in my life. I am more worried about our kids then us. I wanted my kids to have more then us, but it seems like they have less then I did as a child. If anyone can give us some advise or help us in anyway it will be greatly appreciated. We live south of the Chicago area if anyone has any ideas for employment that would help as well. I have experience in restaurants and offices. My husband is a Union Carpenter, but can also do other things.
Thank you to anyone who reads this for your support.
